About Saskatchewan Lotteries

Since 1974, Sask Sport Inc., a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors, has operated Saskatchewan Lotteries as a fundraiser for sport, culture and recreation through a licensing agreement with the Government of Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan Lotteries is the provincial marketing organization for Western Canada Lottery Corporation products in Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan Lotteries also manages Retailer applications and agreements, provides lottery products and services to a province-wide network of over 860 Retail locations, develops programs, policies and procedures, enforces policies, and provides training.

Proceeds from Saskatchewan Lotteries ticket sales are deposited in the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and Recreation for distribution to eligible sport, culture and recreation organizations in Saskatchewan. Approximately 1,200 groups receive direct funding support and through them more than 12,000 affiliated organizations benefit.

The lottery-funded system for sport, culture and recreation, is delivered to the people of Saskatchewan through three independent community partners. These "global" organizations - Sask Sport, Inc., Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association Inc. and SaskCulture, Inc. - collectively represent hundreds of community organizations and ensure that lottery proceeds benefit communities across the province.

Sport, culture and recreation groups put lottery proceeds to work in Saskatchewan providing opportunities for people of every age and ability to participate in healthy activities that enrich their lives and energize our communities.
